Razmig, Armenia
Razmig was born in Beirut, Lebanon. His grandparents survived the Armenian Genocide in 1915 perpetrated by the Ottoman Turks. Turkey, the successor of the Ottomans, to this date does not recognize/ nor admits these horrible atrocities.
The first 18 years of his life were very tumultuous. From the day of his birth he was consumed by the Lebanese Civil war, where chaos, civil unrest, fear, bombs shelling and mass killings were rampant. He witnessed, on a daily basis, hunger, neglect of sanitary conditions, water and electricity shortage, irregular school schedule, degradation of human lives and fear daily. Life was anything but ordinary. Razmig lived in Beirut with his three siblings. In his early twenties, he had the opportunity to come to the USA to continue his long desired higher education. While working and attending school, he graduated from University of Washington Foster School of Business in 2006. The next 18 years he worked in the corporate world holding various positions.

Family in the US (Lebanon): his youngest brother lives in Seattle. Both his sister and middle brother still live in Beirut Lebanon.

Favorite pastimes: Reading, painting, tennis, spending time with his kids
Favorite music: Classical, contemporary, and rock
Language challenges: Armenian language is gender neutral, meaning there is no he/she when addressing someone. Also, it took him some time to pronounce “water” or “continental” with the silent “T” .
Could do without: War is evil, it kills and destroys everything. War causes material, physical and psychological harm to the people who endured it thus leaving long lasting scare.
We have been witnessing the polarization of communities around ideologies that is being fed through media and social networks. While sometimes it is difficult or time consuming to do research to locate the source and find out why and who is behind these views, however simply believing them at the face value will have severe consequences.

His two children: Although they were born in the US, they are fluent in both Armenian and English, something Razmig emphasizes the teaching of different cultures and traditions.

Jingalov Bread: Armenian flatbread filled with hand chopped fresh greens and herbs he makes. It’s an alternative to a sandwich or snack, it’s produced by Ethnic Rush.

Ռազմիկը ծնվել է Լիբանանի Բեյրութ քաղաքում: Նրա պապիկ ու տատիկը մազապուրծ փրկվել են 1915 թվականի Օսմանյան թուրքերի կողմից իրականացված Հայոց ցեղասպանությունից: Օսմանցիների իրավահաջորդ Թուրքիան, մինչ օրս չի ճանաչում ու չի ընդունում այդ սարսափելի վայրագությունները:
Ռազմիկի կյանքի առաջին 18 տարիները շատ սարսափազդու էին: Ծննդյան օրվանից նա ողողվեց Լիբանանի քաղաքացիական պատերազմով, որտեղ քաոսը, քաղաքացիական անկարգությունները, վախը, ռմբակոծությունները և զանգվածային սպանությունները ամենօրյա երեվոյթներ էին: Նա ամեն օր ականատես է եղել սովի, սանիտարական պայմանների անտեսման, ջրի և էլեկտրաէներգիայի սակավության, անկանոն դպրոցի ու ամենօրյա վախի: Ռազմիկը Բեյրութում ապրում էր իր երկու ախպերների ու քրոջ հետ: Քսան չորս տարեկան հասակում նա հնարավորություն ունեցավ գալ ԱՄՆ շարունակելու իր բարձրագույն կրթությունը: Միեւնույն ժամանակ աշխատելով և դպրոց հաճախելով, նա 2006 թվականին ավարտեց Վաշինգտոնի Ֆոսթեր համալսարանի առևտրականբաժինը: Հաջորդող 18 տարիները նա աշխատեց տարբեր մեծ ու փոքր ընկերությունները մեջ զբաղեցնելով տարբեր պաշտոններ:
