Meet the Photographer
Alice Di Certo was born in Italy, where she lived until August 2001. She graduated from Ca' Foscari University in Venice and lived in Graz, Austria, and Dublin, Ireland. She traveled to the United States to study and work the School or Art and Design of Georgia State University in Atlanta. She later decided to stay at GSU, where she got her Master in Art History and worked on a Master of Fine Arts in Photography.
She works with photography and sculpture and is interested in subject relating with the environment and human interaction.
Di Certo now lives with her family in the Pacific Northwest and is an adjunct faculty at Tacoma Community College in Tacoma, WA where she also is the studio tech for photography and sculpture. She has shown her work (both photographic and sculptural) in Tacoma as well as in the South East of the US in group and solo shows.
